Farm House

Set in a truly unique Dartmoor location, Yellowmeade Farm is one of the most remote bed and breakfasts on the high moor. Well off the beaten track and surrounded by expansive views, it is along one of the prettiest footpath walks in Devon and is encompassed by ponies, sheep, wild flowers and bird song.

Offering one en-suite double room and two further rooms sharing a private bathroom. you can expect a good English breakfast, clean air, peace and quiet plus a really warm welcome.

Being close to Princetown the farm makes an ideal base for all sorts of leisure activities such as walking, cycling, climbing or horse riding. Yellowmeade Barn

Our self-catering accommodation is a newly constructed and purpose built barn which gives you your own separate accommodation within the old walled garden of the farm, whilst not being too far from the main house. It's in a quiet sunny position and has a gate leading straight onto the moor.

The accommodation has everything you'll need, an electric hob and cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer box and washer/dryer. There's a log burning stove and fuel for those cool autumn or winter nights. The barn has a large double or family bedroom, a bathroom with both shower and bath, a huge living area with two soft sofas plus dining room table and chairs. There are 3 single beds and a cot that can be made up either in the living space or in the bedroom. All bed linen and towels are supplied.

Outside there is plenty of parking and garage space. The Barn has its own private fenced garden, with a patio and BBQ, which is south facing and enjoys wonderful views.

 Directions

From the M5 take the A30 towards Okehampton. Passing Okehampton, remain on the A30 until you reach Sourton then exit and follow the signs to Tavistock (A386). When you reach the outskirts of Tavistock take the left turn sign posted to Princetown (B3357).

Keep on the B3357 up and across open moorland (you will see Yellowmeade Farm way out on the moor to the right below the Hessary Tor mast tower) keep travelling until you see an old pumping station (which looks like a boarded up bungalow) on your left hand side just before this you'll find the track to Yellowmeade on the right. The terrain is fairly rough so please take great care. The farm is ½ a mile along the track on the right hand side; drive through the gate and down to the barn or farmhouse to park.
